Straightening

Image 1 - Straightening

In this lesson, straightening and image and then cropping was learned. Selecting the paint dropper and then the Ruler tool, a stright line following the horizon was selected and the option to straighten was clicked. This straightened the image. The straightened image was then cropped to remove the border that resulted from the straightening, and focal points were highlighted using the rule of thirds.

Image 2 - Straightening

Following the same steps as before, the image was straightened and then cropped to create a more visually appealing image that focuses on the main event in the photo - the children playing soccer. Outside bystanders were cropped out to focus on the action.
